Venice on the web
Gondo caller finds this web site "not
acceptable" Got a comment? Make it here.
Ya gotta laugh
I woke up to that this morning, and I must admit, I found being called a radical, well..., not too bad a thing actually. Rather complimentary. In fact, the whole thing is pretty funny. The first photo that the Gondo printed showed Hatchett Creek's banks overflowing with the waterline reaching the rear concrete walls of the Grove Terrace development. It's an admittedly dramatic shot. The photo was taken from the south bank of the creek, looking northeast. The second photo used, taken a few minutes later and about fifty yards due north from where I took the first photo, showed the flooded parking lot of Grove Terrace. Again, I was facing northeast. The caller seems to believe that since the second photo appears less ominous than the first, this clearly shows deception on the part of the Gondolier. OK. Moving right along.... The caller asked if this web site and the Gondo were one and the same. We're not. Just to prove it, take a look at the two responses to the caller's question:
John Patten is the head of Web Operations for Creative Pages, and has worked in broadcasting for over 12 years. He can also be incredibly rude at times. This is one of those times, BTW. |
