Well, let's see. Who in Venice with loads of cash is desperately trying to discredit the three new council members? Who has an ax to grind? My money would go on either the Herald-Tribune or the airport crowd. Both have been very vocal about not appreciating the new council members, and right now both have a not-so-good reputation in this town. I think those two groups are the only ones with the cash-flow to hire an attorney to look into possible sunshine violations (but why start that search at November 2007?? I guess previous councils are safe from scrutiny!) I really think the airport gang is the most likely culprit - didn't the H-T use a Tampa attorney the last time they threatened the mayor?
