In this market,I guess I'd rather sell a house than leave it vacant. Have you seen the number of rentals in this area? Again, the Seller should not assume the motivation of the Buyer (we know what happens when you assume). I own a home in Venice and do not want to sell at this time - I will rent it out. I do wish to buy in a favorable market. For the benefits to the Seller, I have explained as much as I can. I suggest that you contact an Accountant if the benefits cited are not enough or you can't find more online (or you can let your home sit on the market or give it away). I favor a bird in the hand in this market.
